Situated
on the road to the Pillar Rocks, the Kodai Golf Club boasts
of a well laid 18-hole course
fit for the competitions at the National level. Often the
golfers teeing in the early morning
accost herds of wild animals. The Club is exclusively for
its members. Non-members and
holiday golfers, who want to play, have to pay
a special subscription. The tourists on the road
have a glimpse of the whole range.

| Boating |

Boating
is allowed in the lake during most part of the day. Boat house
is run by Tamilnadu Tourism which
provides boats with a driver on Sharing / Single Basis. Full
circle and half circle trips are
the available options.

| Trekking |
|
If
you want to go for some serious trekking,get hold of an information
pamphlet at the District Forest Office
(open Monday to Friday, closed for lunch from 1 pm to 2 pm,
Tel: 240287) which will give you
17 local treks, 8 to 27 km long. A map is also given, along
with time estimates and other useful
information.

You
could rent a bike and go for a ride around the hills.Mountain
bikes and regular bikes can be hired
from the stalls in front of the Carlton Hotel or Hotel Garden
Manor for Rs 20 - 50.

|
Long
walks are the favourite activities of holidayers in Kodaikanal.
Walking around the lake is the most
famous route.

There
are several clubs in Kodai namely The Kodaikanal Club, Indian
club, Golf club and Boat club. The
Kodaikanal club has a library, video room, games tables and
a dirt tennis court.

1: 9.30 am to 2 pm, which takes you to Coaker's Walk, Pillar
Rock, Green Valley View, Golf
Course, Upper Lake View, Kurinji Andavar Temple,Chettiar Park,
Silver Cascade, Museum,
Byrant Park and the Lake.
Tour 2: 9 am to 3 pm . It takes you
to the pine forests, Moyer Point,Silent
Valley View, Fire Tower,
Barijam Lake View, Devil's Kitchen, Bear Shola Falls and the
Lake.
